A Proud History of Academic Excellence Since 2007
Founded in 2007 at the Durban University of Technology, KZN Matric Excellence was established with the vision of supporting Matriculants in their academic endeavors. Over the years, we have successfully assisted numerous learners from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from remote and historically disadvantaged areas in KwaZulu-Natal, fostering a culture of achievement and resilience.
KZN Matric Excellence was founded by Bheka Mchunu, a DUT graduate and convocant who is a well-known media personality and youth activist.
His passion for education and commitment to youth empowerment led him to establish this institution to bridge the educational gap for disadvantaged learners. With expertise in education advocacy and arts and culture promotion, Bheka continues to inspire and drive the mission of KZN Matric Excellence.
